That's the amount the Bhatts spent on her dresses, hair and make-up for their forthcoming film, in which she's worn 110 outfits
Vishesh Films (owned by Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt) have spent a bomb on Kangana Ranaut's look. The makers of Raaz – The Mystery Continues, which has a budget of around Rs 25 crore, have spent around Rs 75 lakh only on Kangna's look. This is the highest ever amount spent by the Bhatts for a heroine on her hair, make up and a record 110 outfits. Her look has been styled and designed by designer Rocky S.
In the movie Kangna has a soft, curvier and a more feminine look and she had to put on weight for her role. Thus, from the dresses to her tresses, she flaunts a soft flowy feel. Kangna, who is kicked on being pampered so much, says, "I used to go with Rocky for shopping. For one party sequence he picked up 10 outfits. I had so much fun trying them out."
Mukesh Bhatt told After Hrs, "Kangna's role is central in the film. It was essential to invest in her look to deliver the necessary impact and complement the role. She plays a supermodel. So, many clothes were required for those sequences. Plus there is the portrayal of her romantic life with Yash (Adhayan Suman) and the horror sequences."
He adds, "Horror, as a genre, has always been on the backfoot in the Indian film industry. Most horror films are made on low budgets. So for a horror film to be realistic, it requires investment in special effects, which we've done with this film."
