With his well sculpted hot body and killer looks, Bollywood’s original khiladi, Akshay Kumar is a huge hit among girls! The action star was recently mobbed by besotted models who insisted the actor to consider them in his upcoming flick ‘Tees Maar Khan’ while he was attending a Farah Khan-choreographed lingerie show. Well, the star-struck models did more than flaunting their stunning figures as the whole action turned into a catfight.

With Akshay starring in ‘Tees Maar Khan,’ the models deduced that the star might need a leading lady and flooded the actor with requests.Talking to a news daily, a close source said, “Akshay and his wife Twinkle were seated in front of the stage. Those girls were smiling at Akshay from the ramp itself.”Incidentally, as soon as the show was over, a bunch of models walked up to the actor and said, “‘Tees Maar Khan’ mein fit kara do.” A surprised Akshay told them that the flick required only one lead actress. The scene soon turned ugly as the girls started fighting among themselves.

Realising that the girls won’t budge, Akshay sent them to Farah, the director of the film, by warding them off as, “Please understand. It doesn’t work like this. You have to speak to Farah only.” When enquired Farah, the choreographer turned director said, “Yes, I know about this. Those girls were auditioning for Akshay. All the girls who participated in the show had great bodies. I have collected quite a few portfolios in the last few days. Let’s see who gets selected eventually.”

If you thought Farah Khan will make Akshay Kumar play an unsophisticated street smart conman in her next directorial venture Tees Maar Khan think again. Contrary to popular belief, Akshay plays a sexy and stylised international conman in the film. No prizes for guessing that Akshay’s new best friend Farah Khan is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that he has women swooning right from his first scene in the film.

While well-known designer Aki Narula is working on Akshay’s costumes in Tees Maar Khan, Farah is also getting some international make-up artists and hairdressers for her lead actor. Farah’s first choice is that Akshay should sport long hair in the film. “I will take a look test with him wearing extensions, but if that doesn’t work, then he’ll have short hair throughout the film. But one thing is sure that I will show him as a pucca hero. He is a gorgeous looking man. He plays a Muslim and wears very trendy clothes, mostly ganjis. He has loads of attitude in Tees Maar Khan because of which I have also planned a grand entry scene for him,” said an excited Farah.

“Akshay will also be wearing jewelry in the film, maybe a bracelet or an amulet with TMK embossed on it,” added Farah.And who will be the lucky girl who will rub shoulders with Akshay? “Well, I am doing a nationwide hunt for a new girl but if I don’t find the right one, I will go in for an established actress. The heroine’s name in the film is Anya, which is actually my daughter’s name. She will go by the name Anya Khan,” revealed Farah.

Farah further said that Tees Maar Khan happened when her husband Shirish Kunder showed her one of his scripts. “It was too funny. When I told him that, he said he would love to produce it if he gets a good director. I immediately offered to direct it and things quickly fell into place. The film is very close to Shirish’s heart. He had registered the title three years ago,” said Farah. Commenting on who suggested Akshay’s name for the title role, Farah said, “Shirish suggested it.”

Goes without saying, Tees Maar Khan will be a typical racy entertainer, which is Farah’s style. “Yes, it will be my kind of film,” Farah laughed and said.

Wasim Akram to coach Akshay Kumar?

Former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram will reportedly make his acting debut in Nikhil Advani's next film, Patiala House. The film stars Akshay Kumar .

Patiala House is apparently based on cricket and Wasim will play coach to Akki's cricket team. It will be shot in London and is expected to release next year. The music will be scored by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and lyrics will be penned by Sameer.

The film also stars Rishi Kapoor , Dimpla Kapadia and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi heroine Anushka Sharma .

Nikhil Advani and Akshay had last come together in the disastrous Chandni Chowk to China . He had earlier directed the hit Kal Ho Naa Ho and the dud Salaam-E-Ishq .

Farah is the most capable woman in the business: Akshay

The latest news to hit the scene involves not only one of Bollywood’s most successful actor -Akshay Kumar but Bollywood’s most loved director Farah Khan.

Farah Khan of Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om fame has just signed Akshay Kumar for her next directorial venture titled Tees Maar Khan.

The film will be produced by Shirish and Farah’s home production ‘Three’s Company Pvt Ltd.’ and co-produced by Akshay Kumar’s ‘Hari Om Productions’.

Talking about choosing Akshay Kumar as the lead confirms Shirish Kunder, “I had written this film with Akshay in mind and was initially planning to direct it. But when Farah and I formed our production company, we mutually thought it best that she direct this film while I take the responsibility of a producer. Akshay and I shared a great rapport while working on Jaane–e-mann and I have been looking forward to work with him again. This project gives me that opportunity.”

Farah Khan’s last movie was Om Shanti Om, which at the time of its release was the highest grossing Hindi film of that time and ever since the who’s who of the industry has wanted to work with her.

Farah Khan says, “It’s our first project under Three’s Company Pvt Ltd. and we are very excited. Akshay Kumar comes under the bracket of the top 3 actors in the industry. Tees Maar Khan as a script is right up my alley. It’s brilliant and Akshay suits the role perfectly as Shirish wrote it with him in mind. It will be a pleasure to be working with him.”

Talking about his next venture with Shirish and Farah, Akshay Kumar said, "Farah is the strongest most capable woman in the business and the best in the business for that matter. She holds the most respect from the biggest of people. Tees Maar Khan is going to be a special film because it has the best of both worlds- Farah's talent as a director and Shirish's story telling ability. I'm very happy to be associated with this project and I'm sure Farah will make sure we live up to the title and make this film larger than life."

From the looks of it the teaming one of Bollywood’s most successful directors –Farah Khan and one of the industry's most successful actors –Akshay Kumar do make quite a force to reckon with.

Trisha delights Akshay

Akshay Kumar, it turns out, wasn’t wrong in putting his trust in director Priyadarshan for casting an appropriate leading lady opposite him in his new film Khatta Meetha. The superstar may have had his doubts when Priyadarshan roped in the south star Trisha Krishnan, but all the apprehensions were laid to rest on the movie’s sets.

Like a true professional Trisha hadn’t hid the fact from both Priyadarshan and Akki that she isn’t very fluent in Hindi, though she studied the language in her school. But when the movie’s shoot began in a village a 100 kilometres away from Pune, Trisha took everyone by surprise.

“Trisha is turning out to be the surprise package. Before the shoot, she had informed us that she couldn’t converse in Hindi…But she took all of us by surprise when she spoke fluently in Hindi. I could see the smile on Akki’s face as he was delighted with her performance,” Priyadarshan is quoted as saying by a news daily.

Priyan went on to reveal that Trisha has a pivotal role in the film. She plays two characters in different time periods. The director also clarifies that it’s not a double role, but he promises that Trisha will get more footage in ‘Khatta Meetha’ than any actress has got in his previous films.

Dimple Kapadia will Akshay Kumar’s mother in ‘Patiala House’

Some years back filmmakers wanted to cast Dimple opposite Akshay Kumar in Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi but now it is being rumored that Dimple will play Akshay’s mother in one of his upcoming movies.

The film pairs up Rishi Kapoor and Dimple KApadia. It is Patiala House, Nikhil Advani’s London-based, cross-generation drama.

The Dimple and Rishi Kapoor duo has been setting trends apart from rest of the industry. In this film, Akshay will play their son who is exactly opposite to them in his ideas.

“People may see the casting as gimmicky. But, after Chandni Chowk… I felt I had to be true to myself. In that film I was trying a language that wasn’t mine. In Patiala House ,I return to my native tongue”, says the director of the film.

Akshay Kumar ignores 'New York' director

After announcing the success party for film ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ as well as Bollywood movie ‘New York’, Akshay Kumar almost became a real-life hero. In a magnanimous mood, Akshay Kumar had told us, “This isn’t a party to celebrate our success alone. It is also a party to celebrate the success of film ‘New York’ as much as Kambakkht Ishq. So apart from me and Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, John Abraham and the entire team of Bollywood film New York are the party’s unofficial hosts.”

While Akshay Kumar personally invited the cast of the movie New York and many other guests, strangely, he did not invite New York director Kabir Khan to the party. Katrina Kaif confirmed and said, “Akshay Kumar told me about the party just a few hours before the party when we were shooting together for Priyadarshan’s De Dana Dan.”

John Abraham too was personally invited by Akshay Kumar and was deeply regretful that ill health kept him away.
As for Neil Mukesh, he did not get an invitation from Akshay Kumar. “Vicky Rajani (from Eros, who presented Kambakkht Ishq) had invited me, but I couldn’t make it to the occasion because I had a family commitment,” said Neil Mukesh.

According to sources, Kabir Khan would have definitely attended the party had he been invited. New York Director Kabir Khan admitted that he was not invited and said, “I guess it’s okay. Akshay Kumar was generous to acknowledge the success of ‘New York’, that was good enough. Who acknowledges the success of somebody else’s film these days? I’m also happy for the success of Kambakkht Ishq.”

Meanwhile, director Kabir Khan said he was aware that New York stars Katrina Kaif, John Abraham and Neil Mukesh had received invitations. “Having done many films with Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif is very close to him. She was definitely invited. John Abraham did not attend because he had a physiotherapy session for his ankle,” said Kabir Khan.

“A few minutes after I read about the party, a unit member from ‘New York’ called me to complain that I hadn’t invited him for my success bash. I had to explain that it wasn’t my success party,” added Kabir. When asked whether Kabir had any issues with Akshay Kumar in the past, he replied, “None. I had met Akshay a long time ago and we had exchanged pleasantries. I don’t think Akshay even remembers the meeting. I don’t know him or Sajid Nadiadwala too well.”

Akshay Kumar defends his kiss

During his holiday in USA, Akshay Kumar was left surprised when he heard about his kisses with Denise Richards and Kareena Kapoor making BIG news out there in India. While working in Kambakkht Ishq he never felt that kisses would form an integral part of the film's promotion. However, once media picked up the news, it was a point of no return as every news channel and entertainment forum was flooded with the exact count of kisses that he shares with his leading ladies in this Sabbir Khan directed film.

"Honestly, it was so much all of a sudden for me", confesses Akshay, "Here I was holidaying with Twinkle and I start getting calls around my kisses with Denise and Kareena. I was flabbergasted with people asking me details around why, where and how. Frankly speaking, all of it has been blown out of proportion."

Doesn't feel think that all of this was not really required as a part of the film's promotion, especially when there was so much else to be talked about the film?

"That's my entire argument", says Akshay, "This is a film that takes us to Hollywood and the culture out there is to kiss and show. Moreover, my kisses with Denise are quite casual. It's the culture thing in West where people do plant a peck on your cheek when they cross their path. It isn't like we have indulged into any kind of passionate kissing. Is cheez ka film se koyi lena dena nahi hai (This has nothing to do with the film). Kambakkht Ishq is a lot more than just the kisses."

How about his lip lock with Kareena?

"Yes, it is an integral part of the script and does make sense during the narrative. But again, that too is not passionate-passionate in true terms. These are small pecks", Akshay sets the record straight. While Kareena hasn't quite gone around the town detailing the 'wow' factor involved in her kisses with Akshay, Denise has openly appreciated Akshay as the best kisser she has come across.

"See, Denise comes from a different background and has Western sensibilities. She has a different mindset and one must appreciate that people from West are open about their feelings. However, hamaare yahan baat kuch aur hai. Hum log aise baat nahi kar sakte. Woh bhi theek hai and we should respect both the cultures", Akshay replies diplomatically.

How is Twinkle reacting to her hubby dear's kisses?

"Well, she can't stop laughing ever since the so-called 'news' break happened. She knew about the kisses and while as were reading about it in the newspapers, we were plain amused. So yes, it's all cool with us", says Akshay while he gets ready ready for his BIG Friday.

On his son Aarav’s insistence, Akshay Kumar will no longer allow anyone to punch him in the face.

Akshay Kumar will no longer consent to being punched in the face. This restriction on the action hero is courtesy his son. Aarav loves to see his father involved in all the action and beat the bad guys up in the fight scenes, but seeing him getting punched in the face is something he can’t come to terms with.

Akshay explains, “Aarav loves to watch me do stunts, and I too love doing them, even the most life-threatening ones. But every time I get punched by someone in the face, Aarav turns around and asks, ‘That’s make-believe, right dad?’ And that’s what set me thinking. I need to avoid hand-to-face contact in fight scenes.” So Akshay will now introduce a clause in his contract that will save him the punches that are aimed at his face.

This gets us thinking if Aarav will grow up to be an action hero too. In fact, Aarav’s maternal grandfather, Rajesh Khanna recently said that Aarav will be a bigger star than Akshay too. Akshay adds, “Right now, Aarav is too young to solve his arithmetic sums properly, let alone even the thought of acting. When I ask him what he would like to grow up to be, he says a painter. He loves cartoons, watching my films, and he’s into mythology also. I want to do one film based on mythology just for him.”

The doting father adds, “Aarav listens in rapt attention when I narrate episodes of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata to him.”

A film based on mythology is not the only one on Akshay’s wish-list. Akshay, who is a huge Michael Jackson fan is planning to do a film around a song-and-dance musical as his tribute to the late King of Pop. An emotional Akshay says, “I was in Puerto Rico when I heard the shocking news of his death. In the ‘80s when Beat It and Billy Jean were the rage I used to listen to the tracks at work while clearing the tables and cleaning up the hotel in Thailand. I remember his awesome show in Mumbai in 1996. At that time, I wasn’t such a well-known actor. I distinctly remember wearing my MJ cape and going crazy with the rest of the audience.”

Akshay, Kareena lip-lock ten times

It is unbelievable that Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor have lip-locked not one or three times but ten times. The film is already in the news for Akki and Bebo’s intimate scenes and over that the 10 kisses is like adding icing on the cake. It is heard that the chemistry between the two are awesome and they both look sexy onscreen.

A source said, “While everyone is aware that there is a kissing scene between Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, no one knows that they have lip locked as many as ten times. The news has been very hush hush as both the lead actors were of the opinion that it should not be leaked out”.

Sajid Nadiadwala, the producer of the film laughed and said, “Why do you want me to tell the whole world if there are so many kisses in the film? Let the audience watch the film and they will know about it.”

Denise Richards has praised Akshay's style of kissing and said that he is a good kisser and let’s wait and see what Bebo has to say about Akshay’s style of kissing.

The promo of Sajid Nadiadwala’s movie Kambakkth Ishq has its leading stars Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor calling each other canine names.

The movie’s trailer was set to air on television from this weekend but it didn't because the Censor Board deemed it unfit for mass viewing and has given it an ‘A’ certificate.

According to reports the promo has certain objectionable content. The Board’s regional officer is quoted as saying that the promo as has Kareena calling Akshay “a dog”. Akshay responds to her in same vein by calling her “a bitch”. If that’s not objectionable enough there’s a dialogue that says that women are only meant for making love.

Though the above dialogues could be part of the film’s comedy, the Censor Board chose to gave it an ‘A’ certificate because the context of the dialogues is not established in the promos.

It means that the promos can now be shown only in theatres and that too with movies that have ‘A’ certification.

‘Kambakkth Ishq’ is one of the most awaited films of this year. Apart from Akshay and Kareena, it has cameos by Hollywood stars like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh.

It seems Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor got too close for comfort during the shoot of their upcoming film KAMBHAKT ISHQ. Since Akki treats Kareena like a kid and is quite protective about her, the kissing scene required for the film was a major issue for the two actors, since they share a different chemistry off the sets.
