Film magazine Stardust plans to bring both the sexy actresses together.Well both the actress had shot separately and afterwards their images have been merged together.

Here's a dekho of Kareena Kapoor's Christmas tree. It is placed in her drawing room surrounded by many gift packages (think Gucci, Botega Veneta etc) for Kareena and Saif's families. Saif's kids Sarah and Ibrahim actively helped in decorating the tree with stockings, glittery bulbs and trinkets.

As reported 'No fake fir for Kareena' , while in London, she fell in love with a huge fir tree at Harrods and decided to ship it home, instead of having an artificial tree.

Aamir's Rs 25000 saree for Kareena

Saif Ali Khan seems to be in the danger zone. This time its Aamir Khan who is keeping Bebo's attention fixed on himself. Aamir, who is traveling across the country to promote his film 3 IDIOTS, has gifted his co-star Kareena Kapoor a saree worth Rs 25,000.

This traditional saree which is black and gold in color has been specially designed by the weavers of Madhya Pradesh. Bebo could not have asked for a better gift from her co-star who has been disguising himself and challenging people to spot him these days.

Aamir's interest in Bebo should sound alarm bells for Saif given the fact that the perfectionist Khan is as good with charming his women as he is in front and behind the camera.

Kareena Kapoor mistaken for Meryl Streep!

Kareena Kapoor has been shooting in the US for Karan Johar’s production which is a remake of Hollywood film ‘Stepmom’. We are not sure if Bebo is aware of this but she is looked upon as a Meryl Streep look-alike in the US by bystanders who get to see the shoot!

An observer revealed to us, “Indians in US definitely recognize Kareena but there are these Americans who keep whispering into each other’s ears wondering how similar are Meryl and Kareena in terms of looks. Kareena is obviously way younger than Meryl but if you watch them closely both women have chiselled features, high cheek bones, strong jaw line and flawless fair complexion.”

We wonder if Bebo is aware of this but we are sure she will be happy to be compared with Meryl Streep! What say Bebo?

Kareena won’t tattoo Saif on her hand

Actress Kareena Kapoor may be only too happy in her personal and professional life. While boyfriend Saif has boldly got ‘Kareena’ tattooed on his arm as proof of his love for her, Kareena insists she won’t get ‘Saif’ tattooed on hers. When we caught up with the actress only recently, she appeared to be in a chatty mood. “It’s really so sweet of Saifoo to have done that,” she said, “but I don’t see myself getting a tattoo ever!

I hate doing anything to my skin, and least of all hurting my body! However, it’s not like I love Saif any less. I show him my affection in different ways, and that, nobody needs to know!”

As long as Saif isn’t complaining, it’s alright, we guess!

SRK takes jibe at American airport security with his porn star remark

Trust superstar Shah Rukh Khan to wittily hit back at something at the first chance he gets. In town at the launch of Arindam Chaudhuri's new book, Discover The Diamond In You, King Khan seemed to be in the mood to use the unlikely platform to cock a snook at the stringent security check procedures at American airports, of which he was a victim in August.

"I'll take my flag and put it up in America after becoming the biggest porn star of the world," he quipped during the event. Which left every one wondering: was SRK taking a jibe at his being detained at the Newark Airport in New Jersey, USA? His porn star reference could have to do with the strict security checks at US airports that at times involve extensive frisking and even strip search, many felt. The superstar's porn jest came in the context of Chaudhuri, while reading excerpts from his book, gave an example of Sylvester Stallone's journey from a being porn star to becoming a Hollywood icon.

Chaudhuri had also referred to how Akio Morita, founder of the Japanese electronics giant Sony, started his company with the big dream to have his country's flag flutter high on US soil."Shah Rukh has his unique and witty way to get back at people. And that's what he seems to have done by hitting back at the US in good humour," felt filmmaker Kabir Khan.

Added ad guru Prahlad Kakkar: " SRK has hit back at America because they only recognise porn stars and not real stars." Filmmaker Jag Mundhra said he is surprised that SRK didn't address America directly.

"What happened with Shah Rukh at Newark was appalling. Now, it's his turn to get back at the US in whatever way he can. He has all the reason to feel angry," said Mundhra. With SRK at an event, things can never be dull.

Bebo's in the crore seat

Move over Aishwariya Rai-Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor is on her way to become the highest paid actress in Bollywood.

We hear Bebo (Kareena's nickname), has been offered Rs 10 crore (one crore is about R2-million) to star in the third instalment of the Golmaal series.

Director Rohit Shetty, who is planning to launch Golmaal 3 on April 1, 2010, said: "I will release the film by Diwali. As for the leading lady, I want to sign Kareena. When she returns from Sydney I'll meet her."

Though Kareena and Rohit remained unavailable for comment, a source said: "Post Jab We Met, Kareena's success graph has risen.

"She was apparently paid Rs 2.5 crore for Kambakkht Ishq and little more for Golmaal 2. Rohit's film went on to become a hit and the director wants to repeat the cast for his next movie that will take the story forward. Until now, Kareena has never been part of any sequel. So to make her sign this film, Rohit has offered her Rs10 crore."

The source continued: "Even as far as endorsements are concerned, Kareena rules."She is probably the only actress who has refused a certain brand as she thought she was too young to endorse it.

"Moreover, she was paid seven crore for a snack brand. She connects with the masses and they love her. Young girls aspire to be like her.

"She also propagates yoga and eating right."

According to sources, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif charge between three and five crore for their films. Aishwariya charges five crore.

Kareena, Salman appear as a jodi in festive jewellery ads

Though their film Main Aurr Mrs Khanna did not ignite the box-office, Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor will be seen together as a couple in a series of commercials for a jewellery collection. The stars are endorsing the brand that caters to both men and women.

Of late, Bebo has featured in several ads with beau Saif Ali Khan, but for this endorsement, she has the other Khan for company. Sallu and Bebo will appear as a lovey-dovey couple celebrating festive occasions like Christmas and New Year with the sparklers.

Brand new cut
A series of five commercials were shot at Mehboob Studios before Bebo took off for Australia for the shoot of Karan Johar's desi production of Stepmom. Salman, who is now sporting short hair, had his long tresses chopped on the sets itself.

Says a source, "When Salman arrived for the shoot, he had long hair but while getting ready in the vanity van, he had his stylist come along. He stepped out to face the camera in a brand new cut."
The ad has been directed by Marlon Rodrigues. The first of the ads highlighting Christmas and New Year goes on air this weekend.

The reason why Kareena Kapoor's films flop

A year ago this question would never have made it to any Bollywood producer's thought process, but the time has come to think about it - just how bankable is Kareena Kapoor?

Like Akshay Kumar, Kareena has doled out flop after flop from mid 2007 all the way to the end of 2009. Sample these films - Tashan, Golmaal Returns, Kambakkht Ishq, Mai aur Mrs Khanna, Kurbaan - they all bombed at the box office. Some might say Golmaal and KIshq made decent money, but what about the ROI? Making the money back doesn't mean the film is a hit, it simply means it flopped. What's more, the films where she 'guest appeared' in, 'Halla Bol', 'Luck by Chance' and 'Billu' all nosedived as well. To add to it, no one even watched 'Roadside Romeo', the animated film that she provided her voice for.

So what is going wrong? Are these bad films? To some extent, yes. 'Golmaal 2' and 'KIshq' were atrocious, one would have to be a lunatic to assume those would be hits with today's sophisticated junta. 'Mai aur Mrs Khanna' was terrible as well, with its flimsy script and half-baked premise. But what about the 'Saifeena' moniker? Bollywood promotes the Saif-Kareena jodi like its the best thing since sliced bread. Remember the vomitous 'Tashan'? That film was made to only cash in on the new buzz of the 'hot' Saif-Kareena jodi. 'Roadside Romeo' had the duo for the same reason. The same goes for the recent dud 'Kurbaan'.

And what happened? It turns out only a few people are interested in watching 'Saifeena' on screen, the rest need a decent entertainment product for the hundreds of Rupees they pay for at multiplexes. 'Tashan' was unwatchable, and 'Romeo' was underwhelming. 'Kurbaan' was not so bad, but it was shoddy and had too many plotholes to make for a serious drama pitched in as a film with a lot of attention to detail. Is marketing to blame here? Hell no! 'Saifeena' films are given humongous promotions. 'Tashan' posters were everywhere, and you can't possibly forget the bare-back poster from 'Kurbaan' which made its way to every nook and corner of the country. The MNS even helped with the film's promotion by creating a big fuss over the alleged 'nudity' in it. Remember the bikini scene in 'Tashan'? Did it help sell tickets? Not by a long shot.

End result? These films were just not good enough. 'Jab we met' was extremely entertaining, will '3 Idiots' follow suit? Or will it bomb due to the Kareena curse? In any case we can expect 'Saifeena' on Twitter anytime soon; Priyanka Chopra began Tweeting to promote 'Kaminey'; Shahid, Genelia and director Ken Ghosh recently became Tweet-happy (hint: Chance pe Dance).

Is Kareena over her love for Shahrukh Khan?

Everyone in the Bollywood industry knows about the growing rivalry between Badshah Khan and Aamir Khan. Bebo Dear put more fuel to the whole thing just to clear her stand that she is equally with Aamir as she is with Shahrukh! She gave Aamit the title of emperor on which Shahrukh has a bigger hand than anyone else.

It’s nothing but demeaning the actor. Kareena follows Katrina's footsteps

If Katrina Kaif gave her best performance so far in Kabir Khan’s New York it is now Kareena Kapoor’s turn to pull out all stops and deliver a walloping histrionic sixer in Rensil D’Silva’s Kurbaan. In uncannily similar roles.Both the actresses are featured in near-identical roles, of a wife who discovers her husband to be a closet-terrorist. Coincidentally both the films are located in the city of New York.

Secretly both Katrina and Kareena see the role of the terrorist’s wife as a turning point in their respective careers. But what about the similarity between the two characters? Kurbaan director Rensil D’Silva doesn’t deny the similarities. “If there are similarities between Kurbaan and New York then that’s fine. I’ve high regards for Kabir Khan as a filmmaker. If Kurbaan reminds audiences of Kabir’s film then I’m fine with that. It has worthy recall-value.”

However Rensil cautions that every work on terror and terrorism has its own mood and purpose. “There can be any number of films on two people falling in love. It’s about how the individual director interprets the emotion of love. Likewise with the theme of terrorism. It’s open to a multitude of interpretations. I’d like to believe my films is essentially different from Kabir’s.”

Kabir Khan was on the way to Cairo for the Cairo Film Festival for the screening of New York on Monday when he was contacted.Khan said, “What can I say about the similarities between the two films that you’re pointing out? Kurbaan looks like a well-made film. If they’re similar then I’m sure that the audience that appreciated my New York will also take to this film.”

But the real fight will be between Kareena and Katrina, both portraying similar roles and vying for the same popular awards at the end of the year.

Saif changed his bed for Kareena

Love is known to influence people so much that they can change overnight. Saif Ali Khan claims he has changed a lot of things in life after meeting Kareena Kapoor. After being dumped by Aishwarya Bachchan you would expect Vivek Oberoi to be grounded but the Saathiya star is far away from that. During a recent promotional event for his upcoming movie Kurbaan, Vivek was asked about his dream woman.

Vivek didn't waste any time to think and said Kareena Kapoor his co-star in Kurbaan.Incidentally Kareena's royal beau Saif Ali Khan who also stars in the movie was present at the event and said that there was only one Kareena and she was dating him.

Kareena doesn't want mom to see her love-making scene

Kareena Kapoor’s lovemaking scene with Saif Ali Khan in “Kurbaan” and the film’s bold poster showing them half naked are the talk of the town.

Kareena apparently had no qualms about doing the scene. In fact, she has said in an interview that she did the lovemaking scene because it was an integral part of the film. She said she would have done the scene even if her co-star was someone else, but since she knows Saif in real life, things got a bit easy.

However, after watching the film’s trial show at Yash Raj Studios, Kareena has got a bit nervous about her mother Babita’s reaction to the steam scene.

Therefore, Kareena put in a special request to “Kurbaan” producer Karan Johar asking him to delete the scene in the show which her mother and her friends will be attending.

But Karan is against doing this and has tried convincing Kareena not to get scared or be nervous about Babita’s reaction.

Kareena is currently in Sydney for a shoot, but apparently when she left, this was one of her top concerns.

Kareena washes her hair in public

Kareena Kapoor will be seen wearing a veil for most of the scenes in Kurbaan. But a little birdie gave me an interesting piece of news. Apparently, director Rensil D'Silva wanted her to remove the veil for one particular shot.

And for this shot he wanted Kareena to shampoo her hair. For Kareena it would have meant a good two hours had she gone back to the hotel for a shampoo.

That's why on her request, the production unit set up a makeshift tub for her on the set, where she took a quick shampoo. If sources are to be believed Bebo washed her hair in minus 18 degree temperature. She had never done it before. But there was a 120-member crew waiting and the actress couldn't let them down.

Kareena's secret SMS to Saif caught on camera!

Kareena Kapoor will have to be extra careful next time she sends out an SMS to her boyfriend Saif Ali Khan.At a recent media interaction, a Marathi news channel's (Star Majha) camera captured the contents of a private message Bebo was sending Saif. Unaware that a camera was zooming into her phone and catching the contents of her personal message, Bebo kept typing one SMS after another.

Bebo was seen sitting solo on a chair speedily texting Saif between sips of tea/coffee. However, the way she was holding her phone made it easy for the video camera of the news channel to capture what she had typed. Kareena was totally unaware that someone was zooming into her phone and recording the text messages.

After zooming in, it was clear that Kareena was reprimanding Saif in her message. Saif's text message to Bebo reads, "Sorry baby... was talking about your role only." In reply to his message, Bebo sends, "You were rude, Saif! I am hurt." It's clear that the two were having a small tiff over a certain personal matter.

A reporter from the channel says, "It accidentally happened that the camera zoomed into her phone. She was engrossed in typing the message, but soon realised that the camera guy was focusing on her message and told him to stop shooting. It was clear that the two had a tiff and Saif was trying to woo her by sending sweet messages.
